Prerequisites

A third semester calculus (such as MA 242) is required

Knowledge of differential equations (along the lines of MA 341) is required

Grading, Attendance, and Exam Policies

REGULAR EXAMS:   There are two regular 1 hr exams (closed book) each worth 100pts

FINAL EXAM:   The final is a 3 hr comprehensive (closed book) exam worth 200pts

MAKE-UP EXAMS:   Make-up exams are not allowed.   Attendance on scheduled exam days is absolutely mandatory

GRADES:   Determined primarily by exam scores The plus-minus system is used.

BUMPS:   Grades can be bumped downward by unexcused absences. Grades can be bumped upward by participation in class discussions.

CLASS ATTENDANCE:   It's required, and attendence may taken.
